Abstract
In order to find out effective means for the development of health services in small-scale industries, the knowledge-attitude-practice survey was carried out on 715 management staffs.
It was found that, though staff members of small enterprises have rather abundant and accurate knowledge in the causation and prevention of adverse health conditions of their workers and feel the necessity of adopting a proper health policy for their firms, they are rather reluctant to admit the existence of such conditions in their own firms and they usually bring the health problems, if they occur, to practicing physicians rather than to the other health agencies or the inspectorate. A nationwide network of group health services on voluntary basis, which is supported by the government agencics, may help overcome this situation.
